Nigeria Military launches “Operation No Mercy”

Following the recent attacks by Boko Haram terrorists in the North East, the Nigerian Military, under Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, has launched “Operation, No Mercy” to stop the insurgents.
According to intelligence sources, “Operation No Mercy” would be more decisive and unsparing towards to insurgents and all those assisting them.

The interventions from the political class, as well as criticism from human rights groups such as Amne International is said to be among the factors which have hindered the Military in quelling down the insurgency in the North East.

The source cited how former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt-Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika was slandered for his aggressive approach, which was effective in bringing down the insurgency.
